싱가포르 크리에이티브 창업자 심웡후(Sim Wong Hoo)가 1월 4일 별세했다고 회사가 밝혔습니다.
사인은 공개하지 않았습니다.
크리에이티브 사이트 메인도 창업자 추모 메시지로 교체되었습니다.

1955년 출생해 1981년 크리에이티브를 창업,
1989년 당시 비프음만 들을 수 있던 PC에서 지금처럼 음악을 재생할 수 있게 하는 사운드블라스터(Sound Blaster) 카드를 출시했습니다.
1999년에는 Nomad(아이팟보다 2년 빠름), 2002년 Zen MP3 플레이어를 출시했고
2006년 애플이 기술 특허를 침해했다며 소송했다가 애플로부터 비용을 지불받는 것으로 합의하기도 했습니다.
